There are four points to start with.  1) We come to worship to pray.  Each person is an equal and active partner in every aspect of the worship event.  This is not a spectator’s event to hear some good music and listen to a good message.  The definition of the word liturgy is the prayer work of the people.  The people lead, serve, organize, and facilitate every aspect of our time together.  We also discussed there is no conflict between Science and the Bible.  2) We are celebrating the Transfiguration, when Jesus was seen in His glory on the mountain with Peter, James, and John.  3) We are celebrating the third Sunday of Black History Month.  Pastor Holly Strickland shared a link about Makya Little, who is a Delegate for Virginia’s new 19th District.  She also works for the CIA and she is commenting on the absence of a complete Black History from the local Public Schools.  We only played the audio during worship.  Here it is: https://l.facebook.com/l.php... .  We are not endorsing Makya Little for her run for office.  We are featuring her as a successful young Black-American woman.  Here is her website: https://www.makyalittle.com/
